People’s Choice Awards

Unlike the Oscars or the Golden Globes - in which nominees and winners are selected by industry peers - the People's Choice Awards are determined solely by the viewing public. This year, millions of fans nationwide will have another opportunity to vote at pcavote.com to personally pick their favorites for the 38th edition of the People's Choice Awards. Voting began in October 2011 to determine top picks in the first round of voting, followed by the November 8 announcement of official 2012 nominees in some 40 categories - including Favorite Country Artist, Favorite Action Movie and Favorite TV Comedy. This year, the star-studded awards ceremony is scheduled to be televised live from Los Angeles on CBS on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 9PM ET featuring host Kaley Cuoco of the Emmy-nominated"The Big Bang Theory".
